Jeremy Harmon is Utah Global Diplomacy's Chief Operations Officer. Prior to this, he spent more than 20 years in journalism, where for many years, he led teams of visual storytellers. Most recently, he was Director of Photography and Visuals for The Tennessean in Nashville, Tenn., and USA Today’s multi-state South Region. He also led the photography team at The Salt Lake Tribune for more than a decade and at The Daily Herald in Provo, Utah, before that. He is a past president of Associated Press Photo Managers, where he organized and led training opportunities for photo editors in North America. His extensive leadership experience will be an asset to Utah Global Diplomacy as the organization looks to grow to meet the challenges of an ever more complicated world. In addition to his journalism work, Harmon has volunteered extensively in Salt Lake City’s unhoused community. When not working, he can be found hanging out with his daughters, collecting records, or indulging in all things Star Wars.
