Jennie Lloyd is the managing partner at Lloyd Architects, a Salt Lake City design firm that specializes in residential and hospitality projects. The firm has received numerous awards for design, preservation, and practice management. Jennie manages the day-to-day details of running a community-focused practice and enjoys witnessing the creativity of her co-workers.
Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, Jennie left the Northwest to attend Brigham Young University, where she double-majored in Russian and International Relations and later received a Master of Arts in Slavic Languages and Literature from the University of Washington. She taught and lectured at BYU and at the Academy of Sciences in St. Petersburg, Russia. She and her husband have lived and worked in Russia and northern Japan.
Jennie is passionate about building bridges and bringing people together. She has volunteered extensively in her local school, neighborhood, and church communities, but her most satisfying work has been in her own home. She and her husband are the parents of three adult children and have welcomed foster children from all over the world to their home through Catholic Community Service’s Refugee Foster Care program.
Jennie loves to travel, cook for and share a meal with friends and family, read, and go on long walks with her husband.
